Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi network is required for operation. Connect to any 802.11 a/b/g/n, 2.4 GHz band router. Internet connection is not required for basic setup and operation, but may be required for advanced features.

Power Source
Use the included 5V 2A power adapter with any nearby electrical outlet.

Important Notices

  • Requires an iPhone or iPad with iOS 11.4 or later for setup.
  • Requires a Wi-Fi connection. Dio Node does not operate over Bluetooth.
  • Designed for Apple devices. Functionality is limited on Android, Windows, and other devices. Click here to learn more.
  • Cannot play audio from voice calls or system sounds. If a particular app does not stream through Dio Node, it is because the audio is classified as a voice call or system sound by the developer.

      FAQs

      There is no limit. Place as many speakers as you want wherever you want in your home. After that, just pick and choose which ones you want to play from at any time. It’s that simple.

      For Apple devices, just use the built-in AirPlay menu. For other devices, a third-party DLNA/UPnP app will be needed.

       

      We will be launching an iOS app this summer (2026) to make setup and control even easier - but it will always be optional!

      Nope! Each speaker connects directly to Wi-Fi – no hubs, bridges, or extra hardware needed.

      Dio works with Apple TV Generation 4 and later. Dio does not connect directly to any other TV.

       

      The best way to check if your Apple TV is compatible is by going to its settings and checking the software version. If it has tvOS 11.4 or later, then you’re good to go!

      Like other smart speakers, Dio Node does not have a battery and is not portable. We created Dio Node to help you avoid the hassle of charging or carrying around extra devices. With Dio, you have the freedom to listen across your entire home without a second thought.

       

      That being said, we’re always happy to offer recommendations for external battery packs and cables to make your Dio Node more portable. Just email us at support@dioconnect.com.

      Yes, but it’s completely optional! You have the option to set up Dio Node on the Apple Home app to unlock additional features. This includes using Siri to control your speakers, creating speaker group presets, setting up home automations for your speakers, and more.

      Absolutely! Dio is a completely modular system. You can add more Nodes to your home whenever you want to.

      Dio Node is designed for Apple AirPlay, but it also supports DLNA/UPnP apps on Android, Windows, and other platforms. Installers can request custom Wi Fi setup instructions for non-Apple devices. After setup, end users can stream audio using third-party DLNA/UPnP apps. An official Dio Android app is planned for 2026.
