Troubleshooting Common Light Issues
The light is steady red
A steady red light means your speaker has power but has lost its connection to your Wi-Fi network. You can usually resolve this by triggering a fresh Wi-Fi setup by following this guide.
The light is blinking green for longer than 15 minutes
In rare cases, an update may stall due to a network interruption. If your speaker has been blinking green or blue for more than 15 minutes, follow these steps:
- Attempt to Cancel: While the speaker is blinking, press and hold all three buttons again for 2 seconds. This should trigger the speaker to stop the update and reboot using its previous firmware version. Once the speaker has rebooted and rejoined your Wi-Fi, try the 3-button hold again to restart the installation.
- Manual Power Cycle: If the speaker remains stuck after the cancel attempt, unplug it from power for 30 seconds and plug it back in. If this triggers a red-green-blue light cycle, follow the instructions below.
- Contact Support: If none of the troubleshooting steps are working, please contact our support team.
The light is cycling red-green-blue
If your speaker is continuously cycling through red, green, and blue lights, it indicates that a power failure occurred while the firmware was being rewritten. This is a safety mode that prevents the device from becoming permanently unresponsive.
Please refer to our Recovery Guide for RGB Light Cycling for step-by-step instructions on how to restore your speaker.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the light supposed to stay on while I am playing music?
While streaming audio via AirPlay, the indicator light will remain Steady Blue. Once the music is stopped, the light will eventually turn off or return to Steady White for a brief period before going idle.
Can I turn the indicator light off?
The indicator light is a functional tool used to communicate the speaker's status and cannot be manually disabled. However, the light is designed to be dim and unobtrusive, and it will remain off during normal idle operation.
The light flashed multiple colors when I pressed the buttons. What happened?
A multi-color flash is a confirmation signal. It indicates that the speaker has successfully registered your button command (such as a Wi-Fi Reset or Factory Reset) and is beginning that process.
