...and like most people, I love listening to things! What an incredible age we're in now, with podcasts, audiobooks, and all sorts of other ways to interact with the internet - without being glued to a screen!
A few years ago, I realized there was a fundamental problem with our audio devices.
I was deep into a fantasy audiobook during my shower, but when I finished my shower, I didn't want to stop listening! So there I was, standing in my towel, dripping wet and cold, just waiting for my audiobook chapter to end.
That's when it hit me: why was I stuck?
Audio is supposed to be a seamless medium that you can take with you anywhere, yet here I was chained to a single speaker in my bathroom, unable to listen throughout my own home.
After spending a considerable amount of time and money trying smart speakers, Hi-Fi systems, and other multi-room audio options, I realized that everything out there was restrictive, complicated, and expensive - not to mention the privacy concerns.
That's when I decided to build the solution myself. What started as a personal project became the Dio Node Wi-Fi Multi-Room Speakers. We're now on a mission to make listening intuitive and effortless for everyone.
