Hi friends! This is Akarsh from Dio and today we've got a whole load of updates to share.
We've been hard at work this year to continue upgrading our product, expand the places you can find Dio, and reach more people that are looking for our kind of solution. The biggest highlight that I'm thrilled to announce today is that we are finally live on Amazon! On top of that, we just launched a major firmware upgrade this week that brings the performance and stability of Dio Node to the next level. On a personal note, I also had the opportunity to interview on BoldJourney last month about Imposter Syndrome and building resiliency as an entrepreneur.
It's been an amazing adventure to reach these milestones, so let's dive right in!

Dio Node is now live on Amazon!
That's right, Dio Node is now live on Amazon! For those of you Prime members that have been looking to take advantage of your Amazon benefits while upgrading your home audio, your wishes are now a reality! And for those of you who already have Dio Node, we'd love to get your customer review on Amazon.
Believe it or not, this was a major milestone that took many months in the making. We originally launched Dio Node just on our own website as we continued to refine the way we comunicate our many unique benefits while also gauging key operational metrics for our product. In our last newsletter, I discussed how our first 12 months in market already outperformed many of our expectations. So, we decided to pull the trigger on finally launching on Amazon so that more people can discover Dio and purchase where they shop.
What's New in Firmware 1.0.4
Despite Dio Node's nearly nonstop 5-star reviews, our commitment to simplicity and ease-of-use means that we're always finding ways to improve our product. Firmware 1.0.4 is a big one that we've been working on for a while, and includes enhancements to performance as well as additional convenience features.
You can see the full release notes here, but in summary:
- We've made a massive improvement to the speaker's performance and stability on weak Wi-Fi networks. If you previously experienced audio dropouts or interruptions on Dio Node, this new update will go a long way to mitigate those issues.
- Some customers that suffered summer power or network outages also told us that their speakers would sometimes not reconnect to their Wi-Fi network afterwards, needing a manual reboot of the speaker instead. We've now resolved the issue and ensured the speaker will always rejoin its last known Wi-Fi network if it is ever disconnected..
- We also resolved an issue where there might have been a brief "volume spike" when audio first starts playing on a speaker. That issue has been squashed!
- We've now added the ability for you to cancel a firmware update midway through the process. Not that I encourage anyone to do so, but it's always a nice-to-have in case you're in a network environment that is taking too long to update your speaker. Now, to start or stop an update, just press and hold the three buttons for 2 seconds.
