If your Dio Node is not appearing in your AirPlay list, is unresponsive to button presses, or is not playing back audio, follow these troubleshooting steps in order to restore functionality.
Quick Fixes for an Unresponsive Dio Node
1. Reboot the speaker
A simple power cycle is the most common fix for a speaker that has become unresponsive due to a minor software hang. This process will not erase any of your settings.
- Unplug your Dio Node from its power source.
- Wait at least 30 seconds to allow the internal components to fully discharge.
- Plug the speaker back in.
- Wait for the indicator light to stop blinking white. Once the light turns off or returns to a steady state, try playing audio again.
2. Perform a Factory Reset
If rebooting did not resolve the issue, a Factory Reset will clear the speaker's internal memory and return it to an "as-new" state. Note that this will erase your Wi-Fi credentials and reset your speaker name, requiring you to set up the speaker again afterwards.
- While the speaker is plugged into power, press and hold the Middle (Dio logo) and (+) buttons simultaneously.
- Release both buttons once the indicator light flashes multiple colors.
- Wait a few minutes for the speaker to reboot. The indicator light will eventually begin blinking red, indicating it is ready for setup.
- Follow our Wi-Fi Setup Guide to reconnect your speaker to your network.
Note: A factory reset will not roll back your firmware version; the speaker will remain on its most recently installed software.
