Setting up your Dio Node on Wi-Fi is a quick process that takes place directly within your Apple device's settings. Follow these steps to connect your speaker to your home network.
Note: Follow these steps only if powering up your Dio Node for the first time, or after a network reset or factory reset.
How to Set Up on Wi-Fi
- Plug your Dio Node into a power source and wait for the light to blink red. This indicates the speaker is ready for setup.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app and tap Wi-Fi.
- Under the section labeled "SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER...", select your Dio Node and follow the on-screen prompts to name your speaker and connect it to your network.
Troubleshooting Common Setup Issues
Speaker isn't appearing in the Wi-Fi menu
If your Dio Node does not show up under the "Set Up New Airplay Speaker" section, follow these steps:
- Verify Light Status: Ensure the indicator light is blinking red. If it is any other color, unplug the speaker and plug it back in. Wait for the booting light (blinking white) to stop, then hold the (+) and (-) buttons until the light cycles to indicate a reset.
- Restart Discovery: Fully close the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and then reopen it. This forces iOS to scan for new accessories again.
- Wait for iOS Delay: Sometimes there is a delay in network discovery. Keep the Wi-Fi menu open for up to 5 minutes to allow the Dio Node to appear.
